House Of Cards Actor, Reg Cathey Dies At 59

Reg E. Cathey, who played the owner of the BBQ joint frequented by President Frank Underwood in the Netflix drama “House of Cards” has died at age 59. His cause of death was not immediately available. Cathey also had recurring roles on HBO’s “The Wire” and “Oz.”

Cathey was awarded an Emmy in 2015 for outstanding guest actor for his role as Freddy Hayes in “House of Cards.”

He also appeared in the films “Fantastic Four,” “The Mask,” “Tank Girl,” “Clear and Present Danger” and “S.W.A.T.”
