
Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has sworn in the 44 newly elected local government chairmen in the state, hours after the results of the just conducted election was announced.
The inauguration ceremony held on Saturday shortly after the Chairman of the State’s Independent Electoral Commission, Professor Garba Sheka, declared the candidates of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) winners of the poll.
The Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in the state, Ibrahim Mukhtar, swore in the chairmen on behalf of the governor.
Mr Mukhtar also handed over letters of appointment to them while Governor Ganduje witnessed the event.
