Channels Television on Monday hit another milestone by becoming the first television station to win an award at the maiden edition of the AITEO/NFF Awards.
The 12-time TV Station of the year was handed the NFF Development Award in recognition of its corporate social responsibility initiative, the Channels International Kids Cup – for U-13 school kids.
President of world football governing body FIFA, Gianni Infantino; CAF President Ahmad Ahmad, and several ex-internationals were present at the event which was held in Lagos.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Channels Media Group, Mr John Momoh (OON), received the award which was presented to him by the Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
