The police have paraded four suspects over their alleged involvement in the killing of nine police officers and several civilians in Benue and Nasarawa communities since the beginning of the year.
The suspects were paraded by the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Operations, Mr Habila Joshak, on Tuesday at the Benue State Police Command in Makurdi, the state capital.
Mr Joshak told reporters that the arrests were made in Tunga, a community in Nasar ate, where Governor Samuel Ortom (of Benue) had previously alleged that armed terrorists were camped.
The DIG said the intelligence has also led to the recovery of large cache of arms and other weapons from the crime suspects.
