The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) says it will continue to clamp down on any illegal activity that is aimed at frustrating the efforts of the Federal Government by making the fuel products unavailable to Nigerians.

The department made this known during a routine tour of some Local Government Areas of Girei, Gombi and Song local government areas of Adamawa state.

Leading the DPR team is the controller of in charge of Adamawa and Taraba States, Mr Mohammed Alawku, who said that the agency will ensure that there are no sharp practices while dispensing the product to the public.

Speaking to Journalists during the tour, Mr Alawku said the agency has sealed off two filling stations in Taraba and one in Adamawa state for failure to comply with the regulations.

He also revealed that two unknown companies in Kavamchi and Kakumi have diverted about 16 trucks of fuel product expected to be delivered to Adamawa and Taraba states.

He added that the Department has already initiated steps to track the defaulters.

Mr Alawku further directed all major marketers in the city centres to concentrate on the selling of their products within the city so as to decongest the long queues.
