Minister of Youth and Sports Development Solomon Dalung on Wednesday said the Federal Ministry of Sports is working hard to ensure that Super Eagles lift the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The Minister said this during the World Cup presentation to President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House in Abuja.

He said he is confident that Nigeria will lift the World Cup.

President Muhammadu Buhari in his address while receiving the World Cup assured excellent support to the Super Eagles ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

‘We Stand With You,’ Buhari Tells Team Nigeria At Winter Olympics

President Buhari said football is a platform for economic development. He called on corporate organizations to sponsor football in Nigeria.

The president also commends the Chan Eagles for the success and the Bobsleigh team for a show of patriotism at the just concluded 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

The FIFA World Cup trophy arrived in Nigeria on Wednesday. The trophy continues its tour of 91 cities in 51 countries across six continents before the opening ceremony.
