A Joint Action Committee of Non Academic Staff Union (NASU), National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) and Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) are converging on the Unity Fountain in Abuja for a protest to the Ministry of Education over an alleged complacency on the part of the Federal Government towards paying their salaries.

The striking workers downed tools since December 4, 2017 over salary arrears, as well as a sharing formula for earned allowances between academic staff Union and the non-academic staff in the tertiary institutions.

The protest this morning is targeted at the education minister, with a letter also expected to be delivered to the President.
