The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, are among those who paid tribute to late Senator Ali Wakili.
Senator Wakili died on Saturday morning at the age of 58 years old after he was said to have slumped at his Gwarimpa residence in Abuja.
Until his death, the lawmaker was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Poverty Alleviation.
Speaker Dogara and Senator Ekweremadu and some other Nigerians took to Twitter to condole with the family of the departed lawmaker.
