US President Donald Trump brushed aside fierce scrutiny over his warmth toward Vladimir Putin Tuesday, saying he was ready to meet the Russian leader soon.
“I had a call with President Putin and congratulated him on his electoral victory,” Trump said, days after the flawed vote.
“The call had to do also with the fact that we will probably get together in a not too distant future,” he added.
