The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up five spots from 52nd to 47th position on the latest FIFA world ranking for April.

The three-time African champions also moved up to the sixth spot in the continent.

Similarly, Tunisia moved up nine places displacing, Senegal as the continent’s best-ranked team.

They now occupy the 14th spot in the world they are closely trailed by Senegal on the 28th spot in the world.

Meanwhile, Democratic Republic of Congo are placed third in the continent and 38th in the world.

Morocco come in fourth place and occupy the 42nd position on the world’s ranking while the Pharaohs of Egypt complete Africa’s top five and rank 46 in the world.

On the global ranking, World Cup champions Germany remain the best football playing nation despite a draw and defeat in March.

They are closely trailed by Brazil on the second spot while Belgium moved up two places to the third spot following the recent victories recorded.

Portugal and Argentina are in fourth and fifth while Switzerland, France, Spain, Chile and Poland complete the world ‘s top 10.

A total of 133 matches were taken into consideration by the football body in the latest ranking.
