The Benue State Police on Monday said it has arrested two traditional rulers in connection with the ongoing communal crisis between Ugambe and Mbamar communities in Konshisha local council of the state.
Governor Samuel Ortom disclosed this in Makurdi at the end of the Security Council meeting convened to address the crisis.
Ortom noted that the state government has taken possession of the disputed land measuring 1,380 metres long by 276 meters wide.

The State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, also confirmed the arrest of other persons, adding that they will be charged to court as soon as possible.
