Fire Wreaks Havoc At FRCN Station In Osun

 

The Federal Government through a skill acquisition programme tagged Buhari-Osinbajo Solidarity Front (BOSF) has equipped thousands of youths in Osun State.

Over 2,000 beneficiaries were drawn from 10 local governments in Osun Central Senatorial districts and Ede South Local Government for the skill acquisition programme conducted freely.

They were trained in vocational skills including woodworks, POP, Photography and Editing, Chemicals and insecticides manufacturing, Catering and Event Planning, Makeup Artistry, Event Decoration and Fashion Designing.

At the graduation ceremony for the first phase of participants was held on Friday in Ilobu Town, Osun State.

The National Coordinator of the BOSF in Osun State, Liberty Olawale Badmus, said the event is historic because Osun State is benefitting from the free training after the BOSF premiered in Lagos State.

Badmus noted that the skill acquisition programme is designed to help assuage the problem of unemployment.

Also at the event, the Osun State coordinator, Ibrahim Ominiwe said the objectives of the free skill acquisition programme is to give Nigerian youths a means of livelihood.

He emphasised the need for the participants to put into use all they have been taught and impact Nigeria positively.

He commended the Buhari-Osinbajo Solidarity Front and the All Progressives Congress (APC) for assisting the youths.
