Former Inspector-General Of Police, Ibrahim Coomassie Dies At 76

A former Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Coomassie, has died.

He died on Thursday in Katsina, at the age of 76.

Coomassie, who was IGP under the military dictatorship of General Sani Abacha and the regime of General Abdulsalami Abubakar, died at a hospital in Katsina State.

The Public Relations Officer of the Katsina State Police Command, Gambo Isah, confirmed his death to Channels Television.

According to Isah, the former police boss’ funeral will be held on Friday after Juma’at prayers.”
