The Kaduna state Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has inaugurated newly installed electricity transformers in some communities of Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
Governor El-Rufai assured the residents of an improved power supply and other basic amenities in all the 255 electoral wards in the state..
The state governor who was represented by his Political Adviser, Uba Sani, disclosed that 166 out of the 255 electoral wards have so far benefitted from the ongoing rural electrification project embarked upon by his administration, which he says is aimed at making the life of the people better.
The residents have for many years lived without electricity supply, a situation which they say affected socioeconomic activities in the area.
He (El-Rufai) also assured the people of his administration’s commitment to completing all ongoing projects across the State.
He appealed to the people to maintain a culture of peace and harmony with one another
Speaking on the recent defection of some politicians from the ruling All Progressive Congress in the state, Governor El-Rufai’s noted that their exit will not affect the success of the party in the 2019 elections.
