It noted that the action of the anti-graft agency cannot be justified under any guise within the dictates and contemplation of the Nigerian Constitution, as well as practice as a nation.
The PDP, therefore, asked President Muhammadu Buhari to order the EFCC to unfreeze the accounts, warning that such action was capable of unleashing hardship on the people in the states.
It also accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government of using economic deprivation as a political tool against governors and states of the opposition party ahead of the general elections in 2019.
Earlier, Benue and Akwa Ibom state governments confirmed the freezing of their accounts to Channels Television in separate interviews.
