The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has called on Nigerians to support President Muhammadu Buhari who according to him, was sent by God to save the nation.
He made the appeal on Monday while inaugurating a central mosque in Okene Local Government Area of the state.
“We should live together in peace and support President Muhammadu Buhari who God has sent to us to save this country and he is doing an excellent job,” he said.
Addressing supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the governor also reiterated his administration’s commitment to fulfilling its promises.
He said, “We should all rally round him (President Buhari) and rally round this particular administration in Kogi State because we are doing our best and shall deliver on all our promises”.
Speaking further, Bello warned politicians in the state against violence, as the 2019 general elections draw close, adding that such will not be tolerated.
He also urged the youths to avoid being used by politicians as thugs during elections.
