The Ekiti State governorship election petitions tribunal on Monday moved its sitting venue out of the state.
The development followed a unanimous request made by counsels to all parties involved in the petition filed by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olusola Eleka, against the victory of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kayode Fayemi.
The counsels at the inaugural sitting today cited security risks around the venue in their application.
Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Suleiman Belgore, said the new location for the sitting of the tribunal will be communicated to all parties within 48 hours.
