The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primaries in Kano State was on Monday obstructed as police vehicles were parked at the entrance of the venue.
This prevented delegates from accessing the Marhaba Cinema venue of the primaries.
The police explained to journalists that they were complying with a court injunction.
According to the Police Public Relation Officer in the state, Magaji Majia, the court injunction is to stop any further political move or gathering by the PDP in Kano State, due to intra-party crisis.
PDP delegates after the obstruction later moved to Kwankwasiyya Headquarter for an emergency meeting.
They later decided to do the primaries at a new venue, Kwankwasiyya Headquarter in Lugard Avenue.
