Five persons were feared killed on Wednesday after a fuel-laden tanker exploded in Ondo State.
According to eyewitnesses, the tanker was said to have lost control around Shagari Village junction, along the Ilesa/Owo Federal Highway at about 7:00 pm, after a Toyota Corolla car with five occupants rammed into it.
A security official who spoke to Channels Television stated that about four other vehicles were also affected.
Residents say a residential building and two shops were also burnt to ashes.
They, therefore, appealed to the government to construct a flyover along the junction in order to prevent further accidents.
