Some governors in the All Progressives Congress on Thursday met with the National Chairman of the party, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, in Abuja.
The governors’ meeting with Oshiomhole followed their meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari over the party’s primaries.
Oshiomhole during the meeting reaffirmed the party’s commitment to conclude all its governorship primaries before Saturday, October 6.
He also stressed that Adamawa, Edo and Zamfara states should conduct direct primaries to elect their flagbearers today, Friday, October 5.
During the meeting, the APC national chairman approved some of the election results, he also announced the composition of a new committee to conduct a fresh governorship primary election in Imo State.
This meeting the generated controversy which has followed the party’s primaries with allegations of manipulation being made.
Imo, Zamfara, and Kaduna states are among those where there have been controversies.
