Police Parades 49 Suspected Hoodlums In Jigawa

The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested and paraded 49 suspected hoodlums, in possession of dangerous weapons and local charms, with the aim to disrupt party primaries in the state.

The Police Public Relation Officer, SP Audu Jinjiri, said this on Saturday while addressing journalists at the force headquarters in the state.

According to him, the suspects were specifically arrested for offences such as ballot snatching and impersonation.

He said the cases are under investigation and will soon be charged to court.

The suspects were arrested in Birninkudu, Hadejia, Babura, Suletankakar, Taura, Jahun, and Gagarawa Local Government Areas of the state.
