Two teenage boys and a 20-year-old man have been arrested in Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State over alleged murder of a commercial motorcyclist.

Commissioner Of Police in Ogun State, Ahmed Iliyasu, while parading the suspects on Tuesday said the suspects lured the motorcycle rider to a bush where they killed and butchered him while trying to dispossess him of his motorcycle.

“Investigation further revealed that they had been responsible for series of motorcycle snatching within Odeda and its environs.

“They all confessed to the crime during interrogation and admitted butchering the motorcyclist.

“As soon as we are through with our investigation, the suspects will be arraigned before a competent court,” Iliyasu said.

He then advised motorcyclist in the state to be security conscious and avoid carrying two or more passengers at odd hours especially in bushy areas.

According to him, Ogun State will not be a place for criminals as the police command is committed to rid the state of crime or any new trend of crime and criminality.

He added that the police command is also in a process of mopping illegal firearms from circulation to ensure the safety of life and property in Ogun State.
