Education Minister Warns Against Poor Delivery Of SDGs Projects

Following the declaration of indefinite strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), students are calling on the Federal Government to meet the union’s demands.

According to the students, the strike action will slow down their academic calendar, thereby demoralising them.

They are appealing to FG to intervene in the issues in order for them to graduate as at when due.

However, the Taraba State University is yet to comply with the union’s directive.

In a telephone interview with the branch Chairman of ASUU, Taraba State University, Dr Shika Samuel, revealed that they were given up to Wednesday, November 7, 2018, to hold a congress meeting and decide whether to join or not.

But the students are saying that if the strike is allowed to linger for too long they will be left with no option than to return home, thereby becoming a burden on their parents.
