The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Mr Dapo Abiodun, has called for unity of purpose among party members.
He made the call on Friday after a meeting of party leaders held in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Abiodun explained that it was important for the supporters of the ruling party to put their differences aside and come together to ensure the success the APC in the general elections in 2019.
He disclosed that necessary measures have been put in place by the party leadership to reconcile aggrieved members and groups after the primaries that split the party into groups in the state.
The APC candidate commended the incumbent governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, for his achievements and purposeful leadership which he said have endured rapid development in the state.
He also promised to continue from where the governor stops if elected, adding that he would execute more developmental projects that would have a direct impact on the lives of the people.
