The police in Katsina State have arrested three suspected armed robbers, kidnappers and cattle rustlers.
The Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Wakili told journalists at Command Headquarters in Katsina on Wednesday that one of the syndicates was arrested when a police team had a fierce encounter with the hoodlums.
According to the police boss, the suspects are between the ages of 10 to 35 years.

He added that the sum of N700,000 was found in possession of the suspects during a police search.
The police commissioner said the suspects confessed to receiving the money from the proceed of a ransom after kidnapping some victims.
Other items recovered from the suspects include two AK47 rifles, 39 rounds of live ammunition, 19 rounds of blank ammunition, amidst an empty shell of GPMG ammunition.
He noted that an investigation is ongoing with a view to arresting other members of the syndicates.
