President Muhammadu Buhari has restated his commitment to ensuring a free and fair election in 2019.
He says everything will be done to ensure that the results of the 2019 elections reflect the will of the people.
The President gave the assurance on Thursday while receiving a Letter of Credence from the Ambassadors of Finland, France and the Czech Republic, to Nigeria at the Presidential Villa.

He said he understands the yearnings of Nigerians and believes in the collective dream for a greater country.
“I respect the people’s feelings. I assure all that we will have a free and fair election next year,” he said.
Meanwhile, President Buhari has taken a decision on the Electoral Amendment Bill 2018.
The Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters Senator Ita Enang, said this on Friday.
According to him, the president’s decision has been communicated to the Senate and House of Representatives.
Enang who spoke to journalists, however, did not give details of what the decision is.
He, however, stated that the president’s action is in line with the powers conferred on him by the constitution.
President Buhari had previously declined accent to the bill three times and there are speculations that he could reject it again – an issue that has remained contentious between the presidency and the National Assembly.
