Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, has appointed Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola as the 21st Head of Service (HOS) in the state.
According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Habib Aruna, Muri-Okunola’s appointment was approved on Sunday.
He explained that the approval followed the statutory retirement of Mrs Folasade Adesoye on Thursday last week.
“Muri-Okunola was appointed as the Executive Secretary, Land Use and Allocation Committee (LUAC), a position he held between 2005 – 2011,” the statement said.
“Until his appointment, he was the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Social Development.”
Governor Ambode thanked the outgoing Head of Service for her service to the state and wished her well in her future endeavours.
Similarly, the governor appointed six new permanent secretaries which include Dr Goncalves Fausat, and Mr Kosoko Adeyemi.
Others are Dr Balogun Bolajoko, Mr Adeniji Olufemi, Mrs Adelaja Omobolanle, and Dr Lawal Temidayo.
The newly appointed government officials were sworn in on Monday at the Lagos House in Alausa.
