Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, says the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has achieved much in the delivery of dividends of democracy in the state.
According to him, this will make it easy for the party to coast to victory in the coming elections in the state
Governor Ahmed said this at Oke-Ero Local Government Area on Wednesday when he led the Kwara PDP campaign train to Idofin-Odo-Ashe, Idofin-Igbana, Odo-Owa, Iloffa, Ayedun and Ekan Meje communities.
“For us, campaigns are going on well. As you can see the crowd, the PDP has very strong followership and inshallah, we are going to record a victory here,” he told reporters.
The campaign team at each community was received by a large crowd who came out in support of the emergence of the governorship candidate of the party, Rasak Atunwa.
The governor assured the people of the state that the PDP would ensure progress, economic growth and even development if elected at all levels.
On his part, the PDP governorship candidate and member of the House of Representatives assured the people of better development of the state.
He promised to invest more in infrastructure, women and youth empowerment, and upgrade of the stool of traditional rulers in the area.
Atunwa also said he would run a transparent and all-inclusive government to make the citizens more prosperous.
