Police Dismiss Inspector For 'Shooting And Killing Kolade Johnson'

 

The Nasarawa state police command says it will deploy 4,452 personnel to ensure law and order during the February 16 and March 2 elections.

The state police commissioner CP Bola Longe disclosed this to journalists at the police Head Quarters in Lafia.

According to him, his men will be complimented by personnel from sister security agencies from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service(NIS), Nigeria Prisons Service (NPS), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).

He assured the people that the needed security will be provided as his men have been trained on how to discharge their functions.

“We want to assure all the law abiding citizens in the state that,we are ready to provide the much needed security for the conduct of the 2019 general elections”

”Our personnel have been lectured thoroughly and conscientised on what to do, where, when, how, why and what. Consequently, we want to warn all those who may want to foment trouble during these elections not to do so , we have the will,the capacity,the temperament,professionalism and the law behind us to checkmate and decisively deal with any person or group of persons that may want to cause security disequilibrium before, during and after the elections in the state”, he said.
