The Senator-elect for Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Uba Sani has pledged to effectively represent his people and the entire state at the 9th Senate of the National Assembly.
Sani, who was the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, defeated incumbent Senator Shehu Sani of the Peoples Redemption Party with 355,242 votes.
Senator Sani got 70,613 votes while the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Lawal Adamu scored 195,497 in the Saturday’s election.
Addressing a news conference on Tuesday in Kaduna on the outcome of the National Assembly elections in the state, Sani described his election as the wish of God and that of the people of Kaduna central.

On his victory at the poll, Sani said his mandate at the 9th Senate is to see how he will sponsor bills that will be of immense benefit to his constituents in the senatorial district.
He also stated that he will team up with his other colleagues from the state to ensure that the government secures the $350m dollars that was rejected by the 8th Senate.
