The President has commiserated with the people and government of Ethiopia over the crash of the Ethiopian Airlines Flight ET302 on Sunday, killing all 157 people on board.
In a message on his twitter handle, President Muhammadu Buhari, praised the Ethiopian Airlines for its world acclaimed efficiency and successful operations over the years, describing the incident as sad.

“I am profoundly saddened by the news of the crash involving @flyethiopian, one of the world’s most successful and efficient Airlines. On behalf of the Govt and People of Nigeria, I extend sincere condolences to PM Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia, and to all the countries that lost citizens,” he stated in the tweet.
Two Nigerians, scholar and popular columnist, Pius Adesanmi, and a retired ambassador on contract with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Abiodun Bashua, were among those who died in the crash.
