IGP Orders Speedy Investigation Into Death Of NSCDC Officer

 

The Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered men of the Police Special Forces and other Tactical Units, to deal decisively with armed bandits and other violent criminal elements he stated are not insurmountable.

The IGP made the demand while addressing operatives at the Katsina Police Command Headquarters on Wednesday.

A statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, quoted the IGP, admitting to the security challenges facing the country and vowed to do everything possible to end the menace.

Accordingly, the IGP paid a courtesy visit to the state Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, to seek more support in the fight against criminals and armed bandits.

The Governor, represented by his Deputy,  Mannir Yakubu, however, pledged his full support to ‘Operation Puff Adder’ and made a donation of 12 vans to the Police as support for the mission.
