Inauguration: I Took An Oath To Build A Stronger Delta, Says Okowa

Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his deputy, Kingsley Otuaro on Wednesday took their oath of office, birthing their second term.

The event was held at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

Governor Okowa in an address after being administered the oath of office by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Marshal Umukoro, said that the oath he took was for him to build a stronger state.

He scored his administration high in the management of human and material resources, disclosing that during his first term in office, his administration embarked on massive road constructions.

The governor also reeled out the achievements recorded during his first administration. He added that plans have been concluded for the construction of 19 more technical colleges to ensure that every local government area in the state has at least, one technical college.

According to Okowa, this will encourage skill development and the spirit of entrepreneurship among the people.
