Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has urged Christian leaders and other faithful to participate in politics in order to improve the system of governance in the country.

The governor made the call on Sunday when the Anglican Bishop of Niger Delta North and his team, visited him at the Government House in Port Harcourt, the state capital for a brief prayer session.

He explained that bad policies are products of bad leadership, and will, in turn, affect everyone.

Consequently, he believes the days of leaving governance solely in the hands of politicians are over.

“When men of God are involved, you always see that there will be a difference,” he said.

“Continue to pray for us and encourage your people to be part of politics. Let them not leave it for those who you say are politicians. If anything goes wrong, you are part of those that made things go wrong”.
