Less than 24 hours after a video in which the Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, Ishaku Abbo was seen assaulting a woman, went viral, he has come out to apologise.
He made the apology at a press conference at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) headquarters in Abuja.
The Senator who was close to tears at the briefing asked for forgiveness from the victim, as well as Nigerians, saying it is not in his character to assault women.
