Police Arrest 35 Suspected Criminals In Katsina

 

The Katsina Police Command has arrested 35 suspected criminals involved in cattle rustling, kidnapping, and armed robbery.

The suspects were arrested at different locations by operatives of the “Operation Puff Adder” and are said to belong to 13 different notorious syndicates operating in the state.

This was disclosed at a press conference held on Tuesday at the command headquarters in the state.

Items recovered are 36 firearms,169 rounds of live ammunition, 32 cattle, 13 sheep, 3 goats, 2 motorcycles, 34 bags of Rice, one bag of sugar, 6 jerricans of cooking oil, the sum of 900,000 naira and six assorted GSM handsets suspected to be stolen were recovered.

The Police Commissioner, Sanusi Buba, while describing the achievement recorded by the command as impressive and laudable sought for credible and actionable intelligence from members of the public to help stem the tide of banditry, kidnapping and cattle rustling in the state.
