The House of Representatives has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently appoint his cabinet who will serve for the next four years in his administration.
This decision followed consideration of a motion raised by Rep. Toby Okechukwu during plenary on Tuesday.

Although another lawmaker Mohammed Monguno opposed the motion through a point of order, explaining that the constitution does not provide a time frame for the appointment of ministers by the President.
But Mr. Okechukwu, however, noted that his motion does not suggest that there is a time frame for the President to appoint the minister but only seeks to urge him to appoint them quickly.
