House Of Reps Committee Investigating Edo Assembly Crisis Visits State

The House of Representatives ad-hoc committee investigating the inauguration crisis rocking the Edo State House of Assembly has paid a visit to the state.

The committee, led by Hon. Razak Namdas met with the clerk of the Edo State House of Assembly, Mr Yahaya Umogbai, the Speaker, Frank Okiye and other members of the House at the Assembly complex in Benin City the state capital.

Meanwhile, Governor Godwin Obaseki at a separate meeting with the committee members in Abuja has promised transparency in the ongoing investigation into the crisis.

The meeting, which took place behind closed doors, lasted for over an hour, after which the committee stated that findings from the investigation thus far, will not be divulged to the public.
