The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday held its state congress in Kogi, north-central Nigeria.

Ahead of the governorship election in the state, the party is electing members of the state executive to pilot its affairs for the next three years.

The congress which held at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, the state capital attracted political bigwigs in the party.

Among those in attendance were former governors of the state, Ibrahim Idris and Captain Idris Wada, as well as the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Olabondiya.

Also present included former deputy governors Patrick Adaba and Yomi Awoniyi, and Shola Akanmode, a former Deputy Chief of Staff to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, among others.
