VIDEO: Masquerade Defies Flames At Ojude Oba Festival

As thousands gather for the Ojude-Oba festival in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State part of the spectacles was a performance from a masquerade known as Danafojura.

The masquerade pulled a fire stunt to the amazement of the people at the festival.

The Ojude-Oba festival was held two-days after Eid-el-Kabir. The annual event which has been in existence for over 100 years boasts of rich cultural display and epic fashion.

This year’s edition held on August 13 and the Danafojura masquerade was brought to the festival by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi as part of the celebrations at the event.
