The re-arrested kidnap suspect in Taraba State, Hamisu Wadume, has explained how he was captured by the police operatives.
The Force Headquarters posted a 40-second video clip of the suspect who spoke in Hausa on Twitter on Tuesday.
Wadume who was named in the clash between the police and soldiers two weeks ago in Taraba was re-arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP)’s Intelligence Response Team.
He was arrested in the late hours of Monday, in his hideout in the Layin Mai Allo Hotoro area of Kano State.

Narrating how he was arrested, Wadume said, “I am Hamisu Bala popularly known as Wadume. The policemen came to Ibbi where they caught me.
“They were moving around with me when soldiers followed us and opened fire on our vehicle. This led to the death of three policemen.
“After that, the soldiers took me to their headquarters and set me free. I escaped and went into hiding until they re-arrested me.”
