France will hold a national day of mourning on Monday for former president Jacques Chirac, with a requiem mass at the Saint-Sulpice church in Paris, the office of President Emmanuel Macron said Thursday.

Well-wishers will also be able to offer condolences at the Elysee Palace beginning at 9:00 pm (1900 GMT) on Thursday until Sunday, the presidency said.
