The Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) has killed no fewer than 10 bandits in forests near Birnin Gwari and Janko Hill in Kaduna State.
Spokesman of the Force, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, who confirmed the operation, explained that an armed helicopter while flying over the Birnin Gwari general area on Saturday, spotted the bandits at the location.
Thereafter, the force engaged them with guns, killing some of them in the process.

According to Daramola, some others who had attempted to escape were later tracked to Janko hill and equally neutralised.
He explained that the objective of the renewed operations is to ramp up the pressure on the bandits with a view to maintaining the security in the area.
