COAS Shooters are back to winning ways after beating Sokoto Rima on matchday 8 at the Handball League final phase in Lagos.

In the nervy encounter, the Army boys showed good character and stayed focused to overcome Sokoto Rima 35-32.

In other games in the male category, Plateau Vipers defeated Borno Spiders 29-26 while De Defenders cruised to a comfortable 44-22 victory over Prison Key Boys.

Kada Stars defeated Owena Kings 31-24 while Lagos Seasiders paused Niger United push for the title with a slim 30-29 over the defending champions.

Kano Pillars maintained their lead on the league table with a 28-25 victory over Safety Shooters.
