The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola on Thursday urged Christians across the country to pray for the nation during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

According to a statement released by the permanent secretary of the Interior ministry, Georgina Ehuriah, Aregbesola was upbeat that with patience and perseverance the current security challenges in the country will be overcome.

He also assured that the Federal Government “under the visionary leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari would make life more meaningful for all Nigerians.”

“With love for one another, hard work, selfless service, patience and patriotism, Nigeria will sooner than later join the league of developed nations,” Aregbesola said.

He further said that the determination of this government towards ensuring an atmosphere of peace and security would engender Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) thereby revitalizing the economy and improving employment opportunities for the teeming youths in the country.

He expressed confidence that 2020 would be a breakthrough year for all Nigerians, the statement added.
