The Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness, Muhammadu Sanusi II believes ignorance is fueling the tension between Christians and Muslims in the country.
Speaking at the opening of the Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, Emir Sanusi II who was representing the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III at the event, called on the nation’s political leaders to protect the interest of the poor and less privileged in the society.

The Emir of Kano said traditional and religious leaders that are supposed to hold the nation’s political leaders to account are being cowed into silence.
