The first National Economic Council (NEC) meeting of the year has taken place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the meeting took place on Thursday with governors of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, Plateau State, Simon Lalong and Benue State, Samuel Ortom in attendance.
Other governors in attendance were Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, and Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State.
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Ogun State counterpart, Dapo Abiodun, were absent but were represented by their deputies.
