COVID-19: Our Students In China Are Safe, Says Jigawa
The Jigawa State Government has said all its students studying in the Republic of China are safe despite the Coronavirus outbreak across the world.
The state government noted that the students are attending online lectures while being isolated to prevent the spread of the virus.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Salisu Mu’azu stated this on Thursday during a press conference in Dutse, the state capital.
According to him, the state is ready for the pandemic virus as an isolation center is reserved and a committee is put in place to manage the outbreak.
Mu’azu’s comment comes amid concerns raised by some parents about the safety of their children who were sponsored by the state government to study medicine in order to bridge the gap of manpower in the health sector.
