Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku, has ordered the distribution of food items and medical consumables as palliatives to the poor and vulnerable residents of the state.
He gave the order on Sunday when he inspected some various food items and medical consumables deposited at the warehouse of the state transport cooperation and veterinary clinic stores in the state.
Governor Ishaku, who was represented by his deputy, Haruna Manu, explained that the purpose was to cushion the effect of the lockdown occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic on residents, especially the poor and the vulnerable population.
