As preventive measures to tackle crimes in the country amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has unveiled new operational guidelines for the police and other law enforcement agencies.
Speaking on Monday at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, IGP Adamu said the move is part of measures to foster a more harmonious relationship between the Police and members of the public and deepen respect for the rights of citizens.
The police boss is optimistic that the also fight crimes such as domestic violence, rape, child molestation and other incidents of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
